From the Executive Director of The Lighthouse for Mental Health
On a personal level, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has taken time to support, encourage, review, guide, or contribute to The Lighthouse for Mental Health and its mission.
Creating this organization and continuing to develop its educational resources has been a journey built on compassion, learning, determination, and a genuine desire to help create a safer and more supportive environment for others. There have been many moments throughout the development of this initiative where encouragement, feedback, and simple acts of kindness made an incredible difference.
I especially want to express my sincere appreciation to Christie D. Penn, MS, for the professionalism, thoughtful communication, and encouragement shown regarding this project and its mission. Knowing that the work being done through TLHMH was reviewed thoughtfully and viewed positively was both meaningful and motivating.
I also want to personally thank every supporter, visitor, volunteer, educator, friend, family member, and community member who has helped encourage the continued growth of this organization. Whether through feedback, testing, recommendations, supportive conversations, or simply believing in the importance of mental-health awareness, every contribution has mattered.
Mental-health awareness and emotional wellness are topics that deserve compassion, understanding, patience, and respect. My goal with The Lighthouse for Mental Health has always been to help create a welcoming educational space where individuals can feel supported, informed, respected, and encouraged to continue learning about emotional wellness and healthy communication.
I remain deeply grateful for everyone who has supported this mission and helped encourage the continued development of TLHMH. Your encouragement genuinely means more than words can fully express.
