Public Awareness Alignment
Partnership efforts prioritize clear educational messaging that helps people understand warning signs, emotional overwhelm, and when to seek higher levels of support, including 988 and local emergency options when needed.
This page explains who owns The Lighthouse for Mental Health, who owns The CS Foundation, and how collaboration efforts are being developed with the Kentucky Division of Mental Health and 988.
The Lighthouse for Mental Health is owned by The CS Foundation. The CS Foundation provides the organizational structure, mission direction, strategic planning, and leadership support for TLHMH.
Through this ownership model, The Lighthouse for Mental Health is able to operate as an education-first initiative focused on emotional wellness literacy, stigma reduction, digital safety, and clear support resources for visitors, families, educators, and community partners.
The CS Foundation is owned by Christian Jett Saunders. As owner, Christian Jett Saunders is responsible for long-term vision, governance priorities, brand stewardship, resource growth strategy, and public-facing mission alignment for both the Foundation and The Lighthouse for Mental Health.
This leadership model is designed to keep decision-making mission-centered and values-based, with emphasis on trauma-informed communication, emotional safety language, and practical public education.
The CS Foundation and The Lighthouse for Mental Health are actively building partnership pathways in support of mental-health awareness and crisis-navigation education in collaboration with the Kentucky Division of Mental Health and 988 awareness efforts.
Partnership efforts prioritize clear educational messaging that helps people understand warning signs, emotional overwhelm, and when to seek higher levels of support, including 988 and local emergency options when needed.
TLHMH content is being structured to remain consistent with community safety principles, trauma-informed language, and compassionate referral practices that encourage visitors to connect with appropriate support systems.
The goal of this partnership direction is to strengthen how communities, families, and youth-facing organizations identify distress earlier and respond with safer, more informed next-step guidance.
A core objective is increasing public awareness of 988 as a crisis-support connection point and helping visitors understand when and how to use it in moments of serious emotional or behavioral-health concern.
Partnership work is focused on education, awareness, communication clarity, and safer referral language. This includes helping the public better understand boundaries between educational resources and crisis services.
Keep all public resources grounded in compassion, practical guidance, and stigma-free education.
Maintain clear public communication about ownership, governance, and partnership direction.
Center safety language that encourages urgent help-seeking when a person may be at risk.
Regularly improve content quality, accessibility, and visitor support pathways in partnership with community and behavioral-health stakeholders.
The Lighthouse for Mental Health provides educational and supportive information and is not a crisis line, emergency provider, or replacement for licensed clinical care.
If someone is in immediate danger or cannot stay safe, call emergency services right away. If someone is experiencing a mental-health crisis in the United States, contact 988 for immediate support.
